PSP wont start without AC adaptor

weirdest problem ever I have been using the same firmware now for a while and the other day i charged my psp battery and a game died half way through so i used the AC adaptor to play. Anyways i tried to boot without the AC adaptor and the green light just blinks for a second and refuses to boot my PSP.

Thing is it works fine with AC adaptor in so i put the adaptor in booted psp then inserted battery PSP says 100% power i remove ac it goes off and still refuses to boot without AC adaptor being plugged in. I immediatly though it was my battery so i bought a new battery and it seems that was a waste of cash as it does exactly the same thing it just refuses to boot without the AC adptor plugged in. It will however still charge a battery if i put one in the orange light comes on meaning its charging and it charges the battery to 100% with no probs... so it can;t be a loose connector.. I have been pulling my hair out with this hopefully somebody can help me.

Have this EXACT same problem after installing a clear case on my psp.. A few hours later it just stopped working. I even bought a pandora battery, and that does the same thing!

Somebody please help. I really need it! I can boot on AC, but not with the battery. but my battery charges fine if I use both.
It only works if insert the ac and switch on first.
If I try to boot from the battery, I get a green light and a blank screen.

I need my PSP to be portable!

seems the answer to my problem was a fuse has blown on the psp and needs some solder work which i'd rather not do I ended up buying a new psp as Sony wanted £65 to repair

i dont think its the fuse as it shouldnt boot from ac and battery.

i think you battery might have had it, id test it with another battery and see if it works.

if in the end it is the fuse then use this site (you want the one at the bottom) but they are a bit tricky to solder and you will need a fine pointed soldering head

OK! after hours of looking around and fiddling with the insides of my psp, I have found the problem.

Ages ago my friend bought a slim n lite psp. I made my battery into a pandora and got him cfw with it.

I reset it, and it has been fine in my PSP all this time. but just after I did the case mod, it seems it decided it wanted to detect it as a pandora again!

So i just installed a normal boot loader ipl, and it's all good!

thats why my new bought pandora did the same as my other battery! now i have 2 batteries...

thats an even stranger problem than mine..I did fiddle around with the insides alot though..so that may have helped at some point..
