green light and psp wont turn on

i bought a second psp today
it was second hand
so i decided to open 'er up and clean between the screen and the cover
i closed it all back up and tried to start it
19/20 times the green light comes on and stays on, but nothing elsethe other times nothing happens whatso ever
if i plug it into the wall the orange light stays on but thats it
....WTF!!!!
o also i took it apart agian because i was going to see if there were any cables loose and there was one between the buttons on the right daughter board and the connecter under it, so i disassembeled it and put it together agian but still nothing

UPDATE
an advancement
i took the screen out of my old psp and put it in the new and the green light comes on now when i turn it on everytime
BUT it wont come off, it wont start, and it wont turn off after a few seconds (as though it were briked)
