Ok well a while back I was able to get a backed up game of one of my originals to show up in the xmb as a playstation 2 disc.

I haven't tried it since because it might hurt the ps2, and I can't remember the exact directions. But here it is:

I think when I inserted the disc I immediately pulled out the hdd. Which freezes the xmb. When I put it back in the backup showed up as a ps2 disc. When I clicked on it though, I think it gave me the common error when you try to load ps2 backups at any other given time. Idk if someone could make a program that could inject while the xmb is frozen. It seemed to let my backup be seen as a ps2 disc. Not a data disc. As I recall to this was on a lower firmware.

Right now it seems you can load ps2 backups with lower firmwares, and taking apart the ps3. I wonder if anyone is working on a dvd firmware hack.

I always attempt to load something up when there seems to be a whole somewhere. Either a freeze, or something. Something has to eventually come up.

If exploits were freezing, then we'd have an ISO loader by now.
