Xbox 360 backups freeze alot. how do i fix this???

My backups of my original games freeze a lot while the originals play fine. I use quality verbatim media. how do i fix this?

Do i need a new laser or new hardrive? Any help would be appreciated. Oh and the backups are in perfect condition.

Do you use a Krenon Samsung to extract? Do you download them? What is the speed of the imgburn?

yep i have the kreon and burn at 2x or 2.4x whatever it is. Some games work but a lot have been freezing lately.

what did you set your drive speed to read at? what are you burning with?

well it had always been set to read at the fastest speed, but i have since set it to read a lot slower. I am burning with the drive my computer came with, optiarc AD-7530A ATA device.

could be source, speed of drive, media getting old, laser getting weak. start rulling out possibilties, and get back to us.

the media is really new. What is the drive speed? how do i figure that out? Do you mean the read and write speed?

Im thinking its the laser but how do i fix that?

the only way to fix somthing hardware related that is broken is buy a new one! cept you shouldnt go changing lasers when your originals are playing fine. first of all, do you have any backups that are playing correctly? and if not, did they at one point in time. not just play, but play flawlessly?

Its just luck of the draw. Some play good some play ok and then freeze (i get the clean disc error). All are on Verbatim Double layer and are relatively new.
