hi, i know this sounds like a dumb question, but what is a custom firmware. And if I have custom firmware can i still play bought UMD games from stores?

Custom firmware is a modified version of the official firmware which allows you to play homebrew games and downloaded games......Yes you can still run UMD's

ok what is a firmware and how do i download it, then how do i download games on to it, and will it take up mem space?

Firmware is basically the system version of your psp....to help you get custom firmware i will need to know what your psp firmware is at the moment and if you have a slim or phat psp and also if you know anyone who has a psp with custom firmware.

To make Custom Firmware you need, a Pandora Battery and A Magic Memory Stick, go on youtube and type in 'How to make Magic Memory Stick' and Pandora batteries a long explanation lol

lol. Atleast he'll get his thing done eventually... I can't even get games downloaded to my PSP yet... It's confusing, i've made a thread, im tahnkking everyone for helping, but I still need more. HOW DO U GET GAMES ON TO YOUR PSP!! I've tried everything.. lol and dude. You might need to hard mod. Which can be bad... For some peoplez
