Lately, I have had a number of dvds that I can't copy because I can't shrink the file after ripping with dvdDecrypter. Decrypter seems to be working just fine and I am able rip and save the file to my harddrive like I always do. However, when I try to open the file in dvdShrink it automatically closes out the dvdShrink application. This happens whether I use a full movie or main movie file setup when ripping. This only started in the last month. I continue to rip and shrink most movies, so I don't think it has anything to do with my settings. It is mostly new kids movies like Enchanted, Ratatouille and Game Plan that this happens with. I use a DVDShrink 3.2 version that I installed a couple of years ago, and I believe DVDDecrypter3 which I installed maybe a year or so ago. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you.
The movies you mention have protection that DVD Decrypter can't handle, mainly because it is no longer supported. Download free DVD Fab Decrypter and rip movies with that and then open and use Shrink as normal.
I misspoke in my original post. I do have DVDFabDecrypter3, which I download in March of '07. Is there a later version available? This is a very recent issue. I never had a problem till 2-3 weeks ago. Has anyone else run into this?

A program such as this is as only as good as it's updates, which are released as often as a few times a week; your version is in effect as old as the Victorian times..

Which is fine for Victorian Movies...of which there are few.
One of the things i like about DvdFab is how often it's updated and how quickly they come out.
You'd be well advised to check for updates at least once a week.
