Hey guys,
I know this has been an idea for a long time, and I know it is possible, but I just wanted to get an idea of how people feel on the issue. From what I've learned, getting a USB or PCI TV Tuner for this is an extremely bad idea (causes lag of 1 or 2 seconds), so I decided to research the next available port: VGA. From what I understand, this is a totally viable option - unfortunately I haven't heard of too many people doing it though.
Being the cheap guy that I am, I didn't want to buy a VGA converter box solely for the purpose of playing console games on my computer, and looked for the option of maybe a VGA TV Tuner. Apparently, not too many exist (or maybe I'm just having bad luck). However, I did manage to find this. (link http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=TV-BOX-HD&cpc=SCH)
If anyone has even heard of this product, or has any experience using a VGA Converter box, my questions are thus:
1) What do you think of it,
2) Does it work well, and
3) What other options do you know of?
Any posts are appreciated. Thanks!

Alrighty guys,
I did a little more research, and found out that the VGA port on a laptop (typically) is used for only for video output, not video input. Therefore this entire idea won't work lol :) I'll probably keep looking for more alternatives, but for now, this way's a road block

Seems that I found the answer, however the irony of it all is that it is not compatible with Windows Vista :) Actually that's not entirely true; according to this video, you can get it to work, but officially, Windows Vista isn't supported. For those of you with Windows XP, though, this may interest you a bit.
The product is called the Adaptec Gamebridge; it is a USB powered convertor to play various consoles on your laptop (e.g. NES, SNES, PS2, XBOX, etc). It also has to power to record gameplay, if that is a plus to anyone. There are are two versions of it (1400 and 1410). The V 1410 comes with a TV Tuner. Now, according to CNet, the TV Tuner on this device isn't the greatest, but from what I've read, the quality for gaming isn't too bad. Honestly, if you were trying to conserve space like me, it wouldn't be a bad option.
Now Amazon and some other places sell this guy for an insanely high price (somewhere around $150), which I think is way too overpriced (why not just buy a TV then...). However, on Ebay, I saw some pretty cheap ones going for as low as $20. Admitedly, you could question the quality of products on Ebay, but to refute, there was some offers brand new that were $50. So in the end, it simply goes to personal preference
Unfortunately, I won't be buying this product, for the sole reason that the company probably won't support the Windows Vista OS if it doesn't work (even though there might be a work around). However, if anyone else is looking for a way to play their PS2 on their laptop, be sure to look at this product. Good luck, and I hope that my research helps someone in the future :)
