Problem with Vista recognizing Civ III Disk

I had no problems during installation. I installed it on my desk top computer and it works fine. It has vista os.
I then installed it on my new laptop that uses Vista os. I had no problem during installation. But when I start to play it says to take disk out and replace and press ok to play. I do that and it tells me to do the same thing. It recognizes the disk for installation but not for play. Thank you for any help you can give me.
