Anyone out there able to stream Blu-Ray movies to your 360? Just wondering if this is possible with the way we can stream movies now. Thanks in advance for any input.

So I guess what I'm asking is there a way to run the Blu-Ray format into a WMV file? And if so does it keep it's same HD quality?

i believe there are programs out there that can change the format, but you will lose some of the quality.

The Blu-Ray movies I've seen on the newsgroups have mostly been in .mkv format. I've run them through mkvmerge. I use tversity to stream, and it'll transcode .mkv.

If it doesn't for you, then run your .mkv through mkvmerge then through mkvtovob.

Both mkvmerge and mkvtovob are fairly quick programs. I've seen guys who spend hours upon hours running one movie through programs to convert it to a different format. I think their nuts.

If I can't convert a movie in less time than it takes to watch it, I ain't going to bother.

with the slight amount of quality you get for blue-ray, converting will prolly make you loose that little quality you orignally gained.
