I'm having some issues making stealth backups. Mainly trying to add the video partition. I don't have the Samsung drive however I might break down and get one. I'm using wxripper to make my ISO. Here are the steps so far that I have taken.

1. Opened DVD drive to allow hot swap
2. Used ID4 (7.9GB)as the TOC
3. Got the "magic" number and saved the layout and changed the C in line 3 to a capitol "D"
4. Dumped the ISO into my HDD.
5. Used Schrotm to extract the "Game" ISO
6. Used Schrotm to extract the "Video" ISO
7. Injected SS PFI DMI...( I used SS merger 1.7B for this )
8. Tried to inject the video ISO and got errors saying the file was not xbox format ect ect.


I then tried again to inject the video and it looked to of worked, however when I check for stealth with xbox backup creator it failed because it didn't see the video partition. I tried to inject everything using dvdmulleter and when I ran a stealth check with dvdmulleter it said the video partition had padded info and was not likely to boot. Also there was no check mark next to ixtreme.

I then erased my ISO and made another. Then opened dvdmulleter and allowed it to auto correct. That worked perfectly and I was able to burn and boot my game. What am I doing wrong? I know I am unable to get the SS and such when using wxripper. Is this the same for the video partition? I can make 1-1 copies of backups just fine. Would I be able to pull the video partition from a stealth back up and use that? I don't want to rely on dvdmulleter to auto correct because from what I understand it pulls the info from a DB. All it would take is some one to upload the wrong info to the DB and I would be stuck with a coaster. I'd really like to be able to inject a working video partition myself.

Sorry for any n00b questions. I tried to do as much reseach before posting. Thanks for any help.

Man all that injecting stuff is gona lead you into geting banned. I do trust stealth checks when the files have been injected manualy. Id just fork over the $50-$60 and get the drive. Its crazy that you did the rip that way tho ha. Thats old school =). Thanks again programers for making life easy for us.

I don't mind being banned. I don't really play on live ever so its not a big deal. My roommate would be pissed though. lol. I might as well pick up the drive and use that but I cant find it locally and its 60 with shipping on ebay. I just want to get this process down in case I get the drive and it dies in the future.

Well im in school right now and cant help you out untill I got the files infront of me. Ill hit you up with a txt or a pm when Im home. Then ill try to burn one myself useing that method and see if I can figure this out with ya.

Thanks man. I ripped the ISO for GH3 last night while I went to bed. I'll play around with the ISO tonight and see what I get. I'm going to try ripping the video partition from a stealth back and see what I get. If your able to figure it out and it was something stupid that I over looked then i owe you a 12 pack. lol. Oh off topic for a bit. I went to micro-center over the weekend and found a 25 pack of memorex DL for 25 bucks. I know ppl praise verbs but the ones I got before turned out to not be so good. They skipped and jittered when playing the CGI videos.

Its a drive from where you are but its worth it. While I was there I picked up a bad a** raid max smilodon case for my PC. The place is like a crack house for nerds and the prices are so cheap. Blows away fry's any day.
