Hello, I recently purchased a swap magic for my PS2 Slimline. With it I recieved the three tools used to enable the swap magic to work. However, when I play any of my backups or imports the disk appears to spin at a slow speed at times and after a period of playing for 40 minutes or so the disks simply stop spinning all together. This also happens when I leave the games on pause for a short period. Is there any way to solve this issue? I am not using a flip top ps2 cover and am using the original ps2 slimline cover which may be causing the problem.

Help is appreciated.

Thanks for the reply.

Original games work fine, just my imports and backups which require swap magic disk start.

Its like, they just time out after awhile or something...

it might be the media you are using? i usually use sony and theres 2 others that i really cant think of right now lol. it could also be your software your using to burn the disc, best choice would be for dvdecrypter

I'm using both TKD DVD-R's and Hyundai DVD+R's.

I've been using PowerISO to burn my write and burn my ISO's to disk and they seem to be working fine.

I tried DVD decrypter then tried the game, same thing happened so I watched a swap magic tutorial on youtube, noticed that once you swapped the disk you actually HAVE to close the ps2 flip disk tray thingie. =D

I've been playing with it wide open XD. Anyway, I've been playing happilly for a good while now, no disk stopping.

I am a ponce XD Thank you for all of your help! I'll try some Sony's next time and see what they're like! ^_^

http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm

so idk about your type of media you used, but you can also scroll down to look at the fakes, gotta watch out for those
