ok all my old backups seem to work fine. all burned on memorex dvd-r
so now i go to burn mlb 2k8, house of the dead 2 and 3 and no more heroes on the same media and none load up. could it be the media? and what is the best media to use for wii backups

Yeah - definitely media problem - get verbatim dvd-r - burn @4x using imgburn.
