I live in the UK and I purchased a bricked psp from the USA, when I tried to Unbrick it using pandoras battery and a magic memory stick (both purchased from here) http://pandorabatt.blogspot.com/ It doesn't work, after about 70 seconds I get an error "psar decode error 0x001D7DB0" then the psp shuts off, I've unbricked and put custom firmware on my brothers psp without any problems, I've read in some forums that I have to open up the psp and do something to the motherboard.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I don't know what the firmware was before, the psp is a fat version, if I've missed any information about the psp out let me know.

i'm sensing its a memory stick problem,, try using the memory stick in unbricking other psp and see if it will load properly,,, or try using other mem stick to unbrick your psp,, be sure to create the magic memory stick properly,,

if the idstorage is screwed then so is the psp
when pandora first came out, buying bricked psps was a good idea but now who knows what people have done to their idstorage...
pandora is so widepsread that to sell your psp as a brick means there is much more chance that pandora will not work and that idstorage is to blame.

if the bricked psp is bricked because someone flashed a nand dump with idstorage from a different psp then the psp will never fully function again. currently there is no way to re-genereate the idstorage for a psp.
there is a sort of blank nand dump doing the rounds that flashes an idstorage that partially fixes this, but UMD and wifi remain broken when this is done

Ah well the MMS didn't work unfortunately, I'm not gonna risk using my brothers psp to fix mine it's just gonna have to sit here gathering dust, unless I could send it to one of you geniuses out there (If your in the UK) I'll pay you for it.
Thanks again all!
