Hey can some1 help me please!

I believe that i have bricked my PSP (fat version) but 2 wat degree i am unsure off, i was updating my firmware from 3.80 m33 to 3.90 m33-3 or something like that during the update the PSP which was running off AC power without battery lost power and now when i switch the PSP on i just get the green light for approx 15 secs and then it dies again. I have tried starting in recovery mode but this fails to load the recovery menu. I have looked into a padoras battery but my battery in the PSP doesn't have the required chip to mod. Any help would be greatful. Thankyou.
