hay guys, just a quick question. did anyone get banned today from live? i got a message from ms on live saying they would be updating for a few hours and i was curious if that meant they were banning again. let me know, thanks

Good theory, but i don't think so. They only did it for Halo because it was published my MS. They don't give a damn about R*.

Not too sure about that. I wouldn't give a company 50 million for exclusive downloadable content if I didn't give a damn about them.

Seems to happen around the release of big game titles like Halo3 and COD4 and so on. All pure speculation of course.

That is what seems to happen. A huge games is released and then a wave of bannings.
It's a good method for selling new consoles. Give the modders a little taste, then cut them off. Not everyone will replace their banned console, but some will. And the ones buying another console will also be buying the original game.

There are very few games that have online that interests me, so it was a no brainer for me.

Now that I think about it im pretty much in the same boat. All I play is COD4 and R6 Vegas 2. I guess Ill just ride it out till I get banned and then buy me a nice new little system, or pull the bestbuy switch........

Dindi, not the one to judge, but switching out 360s (exchanging the covers so the serials will match) is considered fraudulent and you can get nailed for that (know it's a law against it in Florida). Dindi, you're too good to be doing something illegal like that, just save your modding money and just buy one instead of trying to cheat Best Buy.
