Hi, I have a psp fat and I'm experiencing a couple of problems. Here they are:
1. My analog stick moves by itself in games that require it's use. It usually moves downwards or left and when I try to move right it moves slowly as though I'm only pushing it part way even though I push it fully.
2. Sometimes when I'm playing games and I try to save my progress my psp freezes. This first happened when playing Brave Story, now it happens in every game. In the game naruto ultimate ninja heros I can save anywhere except for after I complete a level. I used to be able to save anywhere so it's not like the iso is corrupted.
3. Sometimes when I turn my psp on the green power light turns on but the screen stays black. Not even the backlight turns on, it's as if the screen is not getting power. Then to turn it off I have to take out the battery or power cable (depending on which I'm using) and then it turns off. After about 5 or 6 times of repeatedly doing this if finally boots up normally. Also if I leave it on with the screen black it just stays like that it doesn't even power off by itself until the powers source is disconnected.
Any help would be greatly appreaciated and thanks in advanced.
right first the analog stick. simple problem of the little rubber connector not connecting to the motherboard well. to fix this ether open the psp up and lossen/tigten the screws around the analog stick or tighten the screws for the faceplate around the analog stick
2nd right what i think this is is that the driver may be the problem. change the no-UMD driver to m33 see if that helps if not reflash your cfw (fix 3 as well maybe).
3rd the toughest one lol. i can suggest couple of things
1) reflash your fw it may be some files in flash0 are corrupt (which would be a brick) it may be that sometimes they manage to get read.
for example i had a old 40gb ipod that didnt want to turn on but every now and then it did.
2) could be the power fuse has gone if so this might help
3) push your battery in nice and tight it may be that your getting a bad connection to the battery
apart from that i dont know much more on how to fix the problem
I will try to tighten the screws around the faceplate although I really don't want to open the psp without a fully detailed tutorial, I have good knowledge in electronics and somewhat in repair but I really don't want to mess up.
As for the reflashing do you mean using a pandora battery to go back to 1.50 then upgrading back to 3.90 m33-3 (I forgot to mention that I use cfw 3.90 m33-2.
Also when you mentioned changing the no-UMD driver from No-UMD to M33, the M33 driver also says no-UMD so did you mean change it to Normal -UMD required-?
One last thing, I came across another problem yesterday. When I turned on my psp and tried to access system settings the little circle animation happend for a second then nothing. I tried to acces the memory card under game, video and picture but again same thing happened. (Just to point out my memory card is real, it says supported under information).
