First turn your CAPS off.
Does your DVD play on stand alone player?
If yes, than copy folders from your DVD to hard drive and try to burn from there.
There is a possibility that your DVD is not 100% and file transfer get stuck, this can be remedied by copying files to HD first.
You can always check ImgBurn and burn with that one.

With your caps lock on it seems like you're shouting. Please turn it off!

Use the best freeware burning engine, ImgBurn to copy your copy.

your copying of a copy problems may stem from

1) poor media ( I use Taiyo Ydens)
2) too fast a burn speed on origional and in copy mode
3) best to burn at most 1/2 of speed rating of disc
4) try not to copy on the fly, but copy as suggested by 7thsinger ( it would be most wise to heed his sagely advice)
