My wii with my wasabi chip is working great, it reads every original and backup game I throw at it. BUT.. It wont work when I lay the drive down onto the 4 screw posts. I've "insultated" it on both sides by creating pads of black tape, folded over so no sticky sides and placed these pads on both sides of the wasabi, the wires are all tight, but i dont get a green light on the wasabi until i lift it off the pad, has anybody else encountered this? or anything like it? I'm thinking next I'll try creating an insulation pad and putting it between my 3/4 inch 3v3 and gnd wires, but i don't have much hope at this time.
Second question, I don't "mind" running my wii with the drive on its side and the unit flat where it can read disks, i can live with it and protect it, but, I'm concrened about dust and cooling. Any advice?
Yeah I had the same problem with a mod a while ago. Turned out there was a short right when I screwed the drive back on. Put on some more electrical tape and everything worked fine.
