avi to vcd conversion error

I am trying to convert an avi file into a VCD, I have split the avi with vdub-mp3 because virtualdub brings up the error message due to VBR. then I decompressed both files with a decompresser which came with avi2vcd (from a topic on this forum). I converted the first half with tmpgenc and it works perfectly, but after a while on the second half the audio gets ahead of the video.

Is there anyway to resolve this?
