Need advises - confuse on wii backup (Thanks)

I'm confused why some of my wii backup works other media does not
I burned with NEC +R 2X with TDK +R 4X and it works
but when I burned with Lite-0n -R 2x with Taiyo Yuden 2x, it does not work.
NEC +R only writes 2x only , old unit (Lite-On +- 16X) 1633S
The problem is that TDK +R 4X is discontinued and I have only 2 left.
Could it be the burner, media or the software.
I tried burned with Nero 7 and ImgBurn, same problem.
Cannot figure it out.
Any advise would be greatly appreciate

Trial and error I'm afraid.

Most ppl use DVD-R anyway and Verbatim is prolly the most popular.
