I'd say you are doing it right, but are using bad discs. Try buying more expensive discs.

If you have another DVD drive (i.e. NOT the one you burned it in) try copying your finished disc back on to your hard drive again. You will probably find errors in it.

The 3rd post in this thread should answer that question: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/64689

As far as your problem goes, it does sound like a media issue, except that media problems primarily happen at the very end (outside edge) of the disc unless you have extremely cheap media. I've used Maxell DVD-R discs before with no problems, and I've seen good reviews from others, but it could be that your burner has problems with them. What burner do you have?

I have the same burner as you and the only prob i've had is drivers being spat out, but as far as burning, haven't had a prob.

1. Create a new folder, name it the same as the movie
2. Create another folder inside the movie folder and call it VIDEO_TS
3.Use DVD Decrypter to rip files to HD
4. Use DVD2One to compress, select VIDEO_TS folder as output folder.
5. Use Nero to burn, remember to put ALL files from the VIDEO_TS folder into the Nero VIDEO_TS folder.
6. Burn at 4 speed depending on disk recommended speed.

7. Good luck

Make sure you are using Nero Burning Rom, and make sure you select DVD not CD
