Hi,
I have used the DVD Decrypter to backup by DVD to harddisk (in File mode), then shrinked them with DVD Shrink, finally burned them back to DVD-R using CopyToDVD (1x speed). However when I play the DVD on my home player (Samsung E235D) the picture is blocky, although on the PC its perfect. Does any one have any ideas?

It sounds like you're using cheap media and your player doesn't like it. Try using a different brand of media. Riteks are usually the best way to go.
