Been having the same problem lately. Bought a HP200i and used nero 5.5.9.0 and had no luck in burning anything. Stops writing at 5% or less and then says something about a command timeout error. Been trying to search out the solution on the net but with no luck. If you have fixed this problem please email me: *******
Some reasons may be conflicting software.
If anyone knows how to fix this please help!
Thanks

It is NOT SMART to post your emails on the WWW as spammers harvest them from the web. Also, if a solution is found, then it should be posted here so that others can benefit from it too.

The old school is back. All hail the new http://BitBurners.com !

hey , im not sure if you are having the same problem as me , but i used to get a problem with nero, where it would start writting then fail and say it was a media errors heres a couple of thing that might work for you 1, get new aspi layers , there easy to get, 2, uninstall nero and any other cd burning software, and make sure its all gone , go into your reg and delete any files that are left then do a clean install, this might fix it, also try and avoid having clone cd and nero, its ok with some ppl but i have had big problems with it, so it could happen to you ,if this doesnt work then you may have to format your hdd and reinstall your os, if you still have trouble then it has to be hardware, oh yeh thats another thing, put your cd-rw in a mchine that you know records and test it that way you'll k now if its hardware or software
