After burning my first game, BW2, with TDK Dvd+r, which worked perfectly fine, I can no longer burn any other games. I do not remember the speed I used for Imgburn, but i retried with new games at 1,2, 2.4, and 4 and they all dont work. Is it normal to have the actual write speed be much higher than the selected speed in ImgBurn. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Try different DVDs like Verbatim because your speeds are right.
4x speed is normal however.

they dont come cheap but everyone here agrees (wiichess) that the only discs that burn right (in DL case mostly) are verbatim:D try and get Singapore if you can

some burns when set to 18x will burn at 20x, the speeds may fluctuate around the set speed, firmware updates usually increase the stability:D

hmm.. seems like whether I set it at 1x or 2.4x, it automatically goes to 4-6x speed. Any ideas? still havent been able to get another game work. Getting new dvd's isnt an option yet, since my dad knows I managed to get one to work, and that I still have like 2 more 100 dvd spindles =x..

So how do I the burn speed to stay at around 2x? =x

Okay, it seems i've found the problem. In imgburn, the speed supported is only 4,8,12, and 16.. and I tried burning it at 2.4..

The weird thing is, I set it at 2.4 before and it worked fine, so I have no idea why my games arent burning out =x.. I tried reburning BW2 @ 2.4 again.. no luck.
