I have a new PAL UK Wii (3 weeks old) with a D2Pro installed by myself using the 15 wire install plus the extra points for muitl region.

But i dont seem to be able to play games that are not my region.
I only have 1 Wii game that is not PAL but i have a few GC.
All of the non PAL games are seen in the menu but when I hit start all i get is a black screen plus sometime the Wii dvd drive flashs blue for a second. Then i have to hard reboot..

I'm sure the chip is installed correctly for multi region otherwise the Wii would give an error in the menu and not even give me the option to click start.
I'm also sure is not my burning as i'm using Imgburn with good verbatim media and all the PAL games are 100% fine.

Is this a problem with the D2PRO chip ?

Is this the case for GC games also?

I have now got the GC game to run though, but i had to use a GCoS multi game loader first, then swap disks and load.

RE Zero, Zelda/wind and Zelda/twilight all run like this...
But shouldnt the chip do this?

I have pull the DVD drive out and checked the install and its correct for multi region..??

Yeah - the modchip really doesn't make that much difference afaik. They allow out of region to be accessed by the console but the NTSC and PAL programming can be such that the console itself can't run the software properly. Sometimes changing the TV output from 50Hz to 60Hz or vice versa might help and also freeloader can as well - freeloader might still need the 50/60Hz frequency change as well.
