making vcds from avi's "help".....

i have tryed to to convert my avi whitch is a xvid file code 4cc with TMPGENC 2.58.44.152 and fx mpeg writer to an mpg file. all i get is video and no audio.

plays fine but i cant encode it right..

as for a nother avi i have it encodes the video ok and the audio for the firs 10sec thats all...

can some one help me with this problem maybe tell me what the right tools are for the job...
