ive read around the forums for a few hours...but i still do not know which chip i should get...could someone tell me the benefits and drawbacks from the chip they have...or suggest one... i think my wii is GC2-DMS with legs

Older modchips for your chipset are generally a risk because they are struggling to keep up with Nintendo updates, so at this time you have really only 3 viable choices. Infectus 2, Argon and Wasabi. Of these The first 2 are by the same ppl and the most reliable and future proof.

The Infectus 2 comes with a programmer as part of the package and will work on various consoles. The Argon is specifically for the Wii and doesn't come with the programmer and that is purchased separately meaning that the chip with program solution works out a bit cheaper if you get the Infectus 2.
