I am having a problem related to dvd recording. I am using a Samsung dvd/vhs recorder. I recorded some home movies from vhs tape to a dvd -r disc. It plays back fine on the Samsung machine that recorded it. However, I then put the disc into another dvd player hooked up to the Samsung machine in order to make copies. At a certain point, about a half hour in, the original recorded disc freezes in the dvd player, preventing me from making the full copy.

So the bottom line problem is the recorded disc plays fine in the machine it was originally recorded on, but glitches when I play it on another dvd player. Any ideas why this is happening?

what brand of media are you using?

its important to use quality media like Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim

if you have a DVD writer/burner in your PC you can make copies with your PC instead. that would work better
