hi,

The leads i use to connect my xbox360 to the TV are Blue-Green-Red...they slot into the back of the TV and the xbox pic appears on EXT1. HOWEVER with the wii i have 3 different colors. Yellow-White-Red. On the back of the TV there is no Yellow hole. Only RED and WHITE. i plug the red and white into them and still have no picture.

How on earth am i supposed to connect the wii up? if i dont have the 3 matching colors on the tv.

On my surround sound unit they(White-Yellow-Red) plug into that and i can hear it but there is no pic lol.... With the xbox i have Green-Blue-Red into back of tv and White-Yellow-Red into back of surround sound.

but with the wii i dont have Blue-Green-RED only white-yellow-red

Thanks

Yeah you have a composite cable for the Wii. If you do not have any extra composite inputs on your TV then you will have to buy some component Wii cables and switch the 360 cables with them unless you have another component input option.

BTW on composite the yellow is picture, white is left audio channel, red is right audio channel. So that's why you were only getting sound. With component cables each color (R, G, B) has its own lead so that's why the picture is much better.

Some cables are dual component and composite where it also has the yellow lead for those that do not have an HDTV. An example of this is the cable that comes with 360s. There is a switch that says "HDTV, TV". You move the switch up for standard TVs, and down for HDTVs.

New to electronics, eh?

BTW, this is covered in the Wii operations manual as well.
