Hi Guys, i have just captured an anolog clip to vista.Its 13 mins long is in av1 format and is 16.3 gbs.How can I burn this or any homevideo i store to harddrive on to a dvd-r which is only 4.7gbs

wow 13 mins at 16gig avi, you need to look into compresion, that must be uncompressed. i think it should only be like 30meg compressed rough guess.

can you save the clip again useing xvid (compression)?

try virtualdubmod a free app load file and save as xvid codec

i would get the mods here to transport this thread to xvid area - http://forums.afterdawn.com/forum_view.cfm/41

may get alot better help there as im not brill on this subject.
