I can't believe I am the first to post here.

This is very promising. Douglas Merrill can't be all that stupid working at that level for Google. I am sure EMI is looking for 'tweaks' in their present system instead of fixing the system. Drop the DRMs up the music quality and sell the music for less. That is what they don't want to hear. Otherwise they will continue to fan the P2P sharing fire.
