I have recently purchased a swap magic with fliptop for my slim PS2 (US edition) in order to play super robot wars serious (imports, not downloaded or copied or anything)

now I realized that super robot wars has harddrive support and the game itself takes forever to load from the game disk.

My question is, what should I get in order to play the game in harddrive mode? the game itself offers that option, but I dont know how it works and I have no exprience with ps2 harddrives

You need an older, "fattie" PS2. That's the only way I've heard to use a HDD in a PS2. You could use a USB HDD, but I'm not sure it will work with your game.

Wasn't Robot Wars a PS1 game?

Sometimes, the Japanese folks at Sony get too far ahead of themselves...

You can add a HD to a slim, only requirement is that it has to be a V12/V13.
