I have a NTSC wii. Firmware 3.2u. Wiikey 1.9s with regionfree on. I get error code 001 unathorized device detected for three games MLB 2k8, SMG and Mario Kart. I get lost on the trucha method. Cant locate the key.bin for ot to work. Any work arounds. I use Taiyo Yuden DVD-R's. Never had a problem before.

1. Where possible get games from your region and then NO patching is necessary.

2. There's plenty of info about Brick Blocking etc. in the stickies.

3. There are dedicated threads to SMG and MK

You've asked in the MK about getting the game to run and there are ppl with NTSC who've detailed their methods there if you're looking for work arounds. Basically for out of region use regionfrii & brick blocker etc. If you wanna sign with trucha then you have no guarantee the disk will work in the future either.

I know that put no one has had the 001 code for all of these games. I did use regionfrii and wibrickblocker.

You can get rid of the 001 error for Mario Kart by using the following PPF Patch.
