so heres what's up.
about 2 weeks ago i purchased 2 swap magic discs, the 3.6 plus.
(question, is it supposed to have those weird marks below it)
anyways, i finished installing my flip top cover yesterday
and got around to doing a test burn today.
the game is state of emergency usa ntsc.
i have a v9 ntsc play station.
i used dvd decrypter using iso read, to rip it
and iso write to write it.
i burned it to a LGDVD-R at 1x speed, speed on the discs say 1-8x.
first of all, for some reason my swap magic cd doesn't even work (gay)
and when I go to do my dvd, it barely even loads correctly.
note that my flip top isn't probably secured on 100%, could it possibly be because the white thing in the cover isn't holding down the cd good enough to be read?
so when the dvd does load, i open the flip top, put in my burnt game.
change to NTSC, and it says its invalid.
wtff??
then like this one time out of 100, the game actually loaded but it froze when loading...
what's going on? :P.
i'm going to try burning at a different speed. 2x and see what happens.
$21 for the case
$30 for the swap magic discs (which were supposed to be new, but seemed like some one handled them already).
/edit
crap, tried running a psx game, Street Sk8er (old game i know)
and it doesn't load. i think i broke the laser for reading psx games.
/edit2
so i finished downloading DDR Extreme and World Champion Ship Paintball and burned it to DVD using ISO with DVD Decrypter at 4x speed. works great.
so only problem seems that maybe i ripped State of Emergency bad,
and my PS2 is screwed and can't read PS2 Discs.
one other problem is, i have 2 ps2s, i put the Swap Magic CD-ROM in my other ps2 and it didn't work , but the street sk8er did, i guess mines broken.
how can i fix my ps2 to read CD-ROMS i guess I must have damaged it some how.
