Hi,

I've been wanting to spend around $100 for an entry level internal DVD burner for my computer. I've been shopping around some of the cheaper online stores, and two that stand out are the NEC MultiSpin ND-1300A (best price $100) and the Pioneer DVR-106 ($116). Now I wanted to get peoples opinions on these. A fair few folk who left reviews were complaining about NEC not being DVD-R brand friendly, but the Pioneer doesn't seem to have this problem. My main questions are:

Does anyone know of a good, cheap DVD-R brand which is reliable with these drives (preferably blank face, as I'd like to create labels)

Both of these drives are twin format - I know this is a good thing, but why?

Which has the better firmware? I want to create DVDs for the US and some for the UK, so I want the choice of a region I every time I burn a DVD.

Thanks,

Paul S.
