Heres what I do.

Convert avi file to an iso and it ends up under 2gigs.
Can dvd shrink compress this file even more?

I ask so I can fit as many iso on a disk as possible.

On the right window, under 'Compression Settings', you can change it to 'Custom Ratio' and try to get the size down - but if your source is full length movies, I doubt that you will fit more than two onto a standard DVD;and the quality will not be good.
