So I got a new slim PSP yesterday, and when I was rubbing fingerprints off the screen (gently) I noticed that I was actually squishing the LCD screen. There was even a grinding sound when the screen was disturbed. The mark on the screen from pressing against it remained for 5-10 minutes after it appeared, so naturally, I assumed I had a defective model. I traded it in today and the new one does the same thing!

This is not what I'd expected from the new model. I've had my fat PSP for 3 years and it's taken many beatings and works the same as the day I got it. Now I'm afraid that the slim is going to break down on me at the slightest touch.

the slim lcd is like that. Its true that the fat psp are harder to break. The slim is easier cuz its more "slim"

you're pushing too hard. all you need is a cleaning cloth to wipe down fingerprints and very, VERY light pressure. luckily, i have my hori cleaning cloth from my hori ds screen protectors.

whenver i push hard on my slim screen, the mark only stays for a few seconds. you can tell how hard you're pushing by how long the mark stays.
