Hi, I am brand new to the whole video capturing scene. I recently bought this card that supports video capturing by using VIVO. I want to use this to capture some old VHS movies on to my hard drive. But I just can't seem to get any feed from the VCR. I connected the RCA Video Out on the VCR to my VIVO cable's Comp In Plug. Is there anything I am missing? Can someone please help me.

Well generally speaking you would have to make sure that you have the WDM Drivers Installed Properly and depending on your Capture device you would have the RCA-(Composite) outputs from the VCR going to the Video Inputs on your Capture device and if you have a Breakout Box with your Capture device your audio Might Plug directly from the VCR into the Breakout Box and from the Card out to the Sound Cards "Line In" or Just go Directly from the VCR"s Audio Output into the Sound Cards "Line In", Then you would start your Capture software and configure it to Capture from the "Composite" Input and you would also have to go into your Audio properties and configure it to record from the "Line In" port and do the same in the Capture Software...Depending on the Capture software you would need to Configure the Format you are captureing to and set up the Resolution and Frame rate and other capture settings and when you think everything is set up Properly you would Press Play on the VCR and Capture in the Capture software...You would also have to deal with Macrovision copy Protection when trying to capture Reatil VHS Tapes...
Im sure there were some sort of Instructions with the Card on how to capture and if not there should be at the Manufacturer Web site.....Cheers

Firstly I would like to thank you for helping me. I got it right!! You see the main problem was that when I inserted the driver disc that came with my geforce card, it only installs the video cards' drivers automatically. You have to go into the disc and install the WDM drivers yourself. What pissed me off was that nowhere on the instructions did it tell me to do so, and if I didn't came across this nice forum, I would have probably given up hope. Thanx a million!
