hey all,
ok i screwed up big time
ive tried looking all over the web for a solution
nothing at all
SO
last night i was putting some custom XMB themes on my psp however, i did not know that the themes were not supported by
my custom firmware (3,71m33)
so when i went to restart it
it bricked
so i thought
"hey no problem i can just unbrick it with my pandoras battery"
man was i wrong
so i went through the usual routine,
poped the battery inside the psp, waited for it to
load up
pressed X to reinstall 3.71m33
and i got this erro
" loading PSAR to RAM.....cannot load 371.pbp from root"
this was not a good sign i thought to myself
im presuming that the 371.pbp is an important file or i wouldnt be
in this situation in the first place
oh and i should remind you that i cant even turn my psp on from the AC adapter OR access the recovery menu.
i cant do any of the other options on the pandora battery either
so i ask you
is there ANY hope of fixing my beloved PSP?
3.71.pbp is missing because u deleted it off your memory stick, it is sony firmware version 3.71. Download the firmwre, and find another card reader or psp and load the file back to the memory stick, with file name 3.71.pbp.
Your psp seems fine, but weird that recovery mode doesnt work. however pandora don't work becuase the firmware is missing on the memory stick.

Yea, that happened to me, you just need a memory card duo card reader, you could buy one, or use someones psp, it doesnt need to have cfw it just need to read and write to that memory card. If u could get recovery mdoe to work, then u could get the file on there. Try taking out the psp battery for a while and see if u can get the recovery mode (Holding R turn on).
Or depending on where u live and what u do, there may be public computers that have built in memory cards reader. Schools, library... yea, its not too hard to find a card reader. O yea also there are some camera, printers... that uses memory card duo also, if u have one make the camera read it and plug in the camera to the pc n transfer it that way.
oh ok, at least its not that serious
was scared for a sec
thanks for your help ill either buy a memory card reader or look for one on my camera or something
