I have been using the following website to learn how to encode DVD to DivX using the programs listed and the instructions given, heres the url:

I am having trouble when I have to calculate the bitrate. I have used the calculator listed on the site and have come up with 813 (for a 100 min movie with 160 sound for a 700meg file).

However, once Virtual Dub is finished, the file only comes to about 300-400 meg. I have followed this guide to the letter, but I am still having this problem. Can anyone please help me out? (the file needs to be around 580 meg and then I can use the rest to add audio)
