Well it happened, I fully bricked my Fat PSP.

I got a Datel Tool as I'm not able to make my own Pandora battery. I don't know of anyone that has another PSP. To my knowledge, it is impossible to make a Magic Memory Stick without another PSP, as the programs/GUIs I've used all require a PSP in some way, usually to access the Memory Stick.

I have a 1GB Pro Duo and my Datel Tool. However to charge the Tool it requires you to start up the PSP while plugged into a power supply, otherwise it does not charge properly. Since my PSP does not boot up, I cannot properly charge the Tool.

Since I only have my fully bricked Fat PSP, Tool, Memory Stick + Reader, is there any way to unbrick it without another PSP, and if so, how?

The datel tool battery should charge when plugged in via AC adapter. The PSP should not have to be on for it to charge.

You should also be able to use the Datel Tool Battery even if it is dead. All you need to do is put in the Datel Tool Battery and Magic Memory Stick. Then plug PSP into the AC Adapter and turn on the PSP. This should boot the PSP into service mode accessing the Magic Memory Stick to recover (this trick works on normal batteries converted to Pandora so it should work for tool batteries).

If you have a card reader that is compatible with ProDuo Memory Sticks then use this guide HERE. When asking for PSP drive letter choose the drive letter of the ProDuo card reader.

Okay, thanks a lot. One question though. When it tells you to Format the Memory Stick using the PSP, could using Windows work as an equal alternative? (Basically, what significance does the PSP's formatting have over a PC)

Thanks again.

I think my problem lies in my Datel Tool. It needs to be awkwardly inserted for it to charge, and it randomly stops charging. I tried it with my neighbor's Slim PSP, but it didn't recognize it as a "valid" battery. (We've moved since then, so I can't rely on him any more for whatever reasons :P)

I've contacted Datel about an exchange, so we'll see what happens.
