I looked around the site to look if downgrading a 2.81 TA-082 was possible, but the only stuff I found was from 2007 and that you had to update it to 3.03 and then downgrade it from there using a GTA UMD.

I was wondering if you could just use pandoras battery & the magic mem stick to run Despertar del Cementerio and put 3.90 m33 on it? If you can use pandora's, how would you go on about downgrading 2.81 and then making it m33?

short answer: yes

explanation:
so far mother boards don't really matter as far as pandora (the other downgrade methods did pose problems for later motherboards such as the t-82 corrupting the keys) the newest slims cannot make a pandora due to there mother board (for now any way) but you can use a pandora on any psp its what sony does when you send it to them only exploited a bit further to allow you install custom firmware in there service mode. try this guide : http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/610313

Latest pandora battery automatically updates PSP to 3.90 M33-3. You can buy it from www.SCAM.SPAM.SCAM

Is this the most recent pandoras battery?
http://forums.qj.net/f-psp-pandora-discu...new-138307.html

i made it yesterday after semi bricking one psp, and then semi bricking my second one on purpose just to see if it really worked, after holding the button it asked me to hold for a few seconds (L), it put me in Despertar del Cementerio and i pressed X where it put it back to 3.90 m33. after starting up the psp and checking the firmware version, it was on 3.90 m33-3.

Q1) should i just do the same process on a ta-082?
Q2) so let me get this straight. I can use the pandora on ANY psp, slim, phat, ta-079 to ta-086, daxter, darth vader, etc., to set the firmware on 3.90 m33-3 so i can put and play homebrew on it?
Q3) which psp's cant i use pandora (3.90 m33-3) on?
Q4) The following is what shows up when I turn off my psp by holding it for a couple seconds and waiting for the screen to black out. Then I turn it on and at the same time I hold my L button which was the key DDCv5 assigned to it by making me hold it for a couple seconds during the setup. So this is what shows up when it boots with the L button held down:

Tachyon = 0x00140000, Baryon=0x00030600
Pommel = 0x00000103, Syscon DK =0x7DFF
Nand size = 33554432
Model: PSP Standard (TA-79)

Press X to install 3.90 M33
Press O to install original 3.90
Press [ ] to dumpt hhe nand
Press L+R+start+home to restore the nand dump phisically (dangerous!)

My question is, do I do the same process with a TA-082 motherboard? Press X to install 3.90 M33? It worked for both of my TA-079 PSP's,

Q5) Why is that when I boot a PSP up (with lets say a 2.81 OFW) while holding the X button it sets my firmware to 1.50 but after either hard resetting it or using a different battery it reverts back to 2.81 OFW. Same with a semi-bricked PSP; if I hold X during boot the 1.50 OFW is loaded on and the unit is functional but after a hard reset or a change of a non-pandora battery, it's back to being semi-bricked. Why is it doing this? I've gone through the process of making a perfect pandora's battery and magic memory stick TWICE, and both times worked when I did what I did in Q4. The only thing that doesn't seem to work right is booting up to 1.50 by holding X during startup.

Q6) I'm basically using DDCv5 to downgrade/upgrade any psp to 3.90 M33-3 right, and not the pandora's battery? Is DDCv5 the magic memory stick?

Q7) Is it safe to use pandora? Pandora can never cause a brick right?

1.) again your motherboard does not matter forget about it
2)yes
3.)all psp can run 3.90m33 slims cannot run anything below 3.60 phat psp cannot run 3.60 (time machine changes some of that)
4.)same question as 1 same awnser as 1
5.)becaus you are using timemachine it is not installing the firmware it is running it of the memory card kind of emulating it. it requires a pandoras battery to run.
6.)ddc5 is a version the magic memory stick when combined with a jigkick battery (commonly referred to as a pandoras battery) that allows you to enter the sony psp service mode the ddcv5 is kind of an exploited version of sony recovery that flashes custom or official firmware to any psp up to this point this process is refered to as pandora
7.) yes it is safe as long as you follow directions and keep a back up of your nad and flash0, chances of an unrepairable brick are slim but it can happen

How would you make a copy of the flash0 and nand on an OFW? Only way i can think of backing up the flash0 is through the m33 recovery advanced menu

thanks for answering all my previous questions btw

thats correct for the flash0 (you can use a pre created umps and access the flash0 before flashing custom firmware) use the pandora battery on the menu select []dump the nad before selecting the X to install 3.90 M33
