PS2 exploit not fully working [SOLVED]

I am using the independence exploit and so far I have tryed to backups.
First I tryed FFX and everytime I got to a certain spot the game glitched. Next I tryed we love katamari and after I press X when I switched the discs, the game doesn't get past the first loading screen, even before the main menu...
I am using a v4 ps2, the ps1 game I using is nfl blitz and the ps2 game I am using is high school musical sing it!(I got the game for free, when I bought the used ps2) can anyone help?!

Sorry for double post but does it have anything to do with the TOC? And FFX stops in a cutscene, it looks like I am about to get to the point where I can start moving again, but in the cutscene the main character(forget his name, I just started playing) basically teleports into the person you are talking to(who is your friend, and I think he fights along with you).
Can anyone help?

The real game I was using to get the TOC had too small of a TOC!
