I have backed up a few of my discs previously using standard DVD+R media and would like to try to use DL media to burn some of the larger backups. I am using DVDycrypter and DVD shrink for the process. How do I use DVD shrink or what settings do I need to make in order to use DVD shrink able to burn my DL media?

Thank you in advance,
-Matt-

your best option is to use imgburn to burn the DVD+R DL after dvd shrink transcodes it.

another option is to use DVD Rebuilder to encode the dvd and keep it on a DVD-5 SL disc. its perfect quality. It would save you about 1.50 each per disc using it. DVD-9 DL = about 1.75 each DVD-5 SL = about 25 cents your choice

there is an option under preference to do dvd-r 9 (dual layer 8.5G)

No point in encoding or anything if its like 7Gig or bigger because no matter what, you WILL lose SOME quality.

Thanks Stick - I couldn't find that basted setting for the life of me and there it was right in front of me the whole time...

ZoSo - Do you really not lose DVD quality using DVD Rebuilder?

lol, doesn't your instinct tell you that you WILL lose quality? You can use the best encoder Cinema Craft Encoder with DVD Rebuilder but I promise you, you'll lose some quality.

Like I said, Anything thats 6 Gigs and up, I use Dual Layer and make exact replica or if its lower, I use DVD rebuilder with CCE
