ok, here is what I currently have..
-Hitachi 0078FK
-pcmcia eSATA card,(silicone image)
-eSATA to eSATA cable
I'm a little new to he moding scene, so please bare with me. I know the esata to esata cable is incorrect, but I'm waiting for new cable in the mail sense all local stores don't have the eSATA to SATA. Also, I'm aware that I have the 0078FK, which is stated that it doesn't work with silicone image sata cards.
That being said, I'm trying to see my best option here. Being cheapest without buying a ton of duplicate items, but also the easiest. This has to all be done on a laptop, so desktop PCI is out of the question.
OPTION #1
purchase a new Hitachi 47, along with the x360usb, and flash out that way, but is there anyway i can use that same item, ONLY to pull the cdkeys? or can i use the current eSATA card I have to pull/save the cdkeys? or is there any other way to get them off the 0078FK drive if i'm only want to save them, not flash new ones.
OPTION #2
purchase a new eSATA card that is VIA chipset (not having any luck as all sources they were recomended are all not selling them any more or on back order). Atempt to flash the current drive with them? Keep in mind also, it makes a grinding noise for every cd I currently enter into it, and there is NO moded drivers on this system at all.
I know some of these questions have been semi-answered, but i cant get a garenty or final answer on much of anything, on what will or wont work, or how i can get the keys off the drive, or if th x360usb will allow me to save them, and just wont let me flash them, or what. Any help would be great.. thank you!
