I have got a nokia dbox2 which i have had for about 2 months. Just like everybody else in the country my box went off. I have read the forum threads so i know how to flash my box. The only problem I have is I dont know what image to flash the box with to get it back on. Could anybody help me please as I am really frustrated and just want the box working again. Also do I need new services files or can I use old ones. Please can anybody point me in the right direction as I would be very gratefull. Thanks!!!!!

you have a Nokia so you need the 2x image I suggets going for the new Laky Pro Image this has the permanent fix built in.

If you give private message me ur email I can send you a copy

also do you have access to your DBox via your PC - as this is what is required to copy the image to the dbox and do a flash. Flashing takes about 10 minutes

Thanks for replying to my message zappa64. As I am new to this site I dont know how you send a private message could you let me know how to. I just tried to flash a new 2X image (not the laky pro image) to my dbox2 and now it wont even boot up. Have I nuked the box or can this be fixed. If you have got the time and the patience I would be most greatfull if you could send me an answer to all my problems. Once again Im very greatfull you answered my first thread and am sorry to have caused so much trouble please can you sort it. Thanks. With regards!!!!!! Kendo666

I assume you flashed a 1x to a 2x box - when you say nuked does it say Kiene System on the LCD

in order to fix problem, you need to flash using IFA and you need a cross over network cable

the new laky image.

i have installed this seems to bring up menu's ok, but i cant seem topick up an channels - i have tried changing some setting on the service scan screen but no idea what is wrong - anything u can suggest or settings that may help to pick up channels.

it picks up 188 transponders on sym 6952 which is for my area and 371 transponders for all area but no channels.

any ideas what i should do

Thanks zappa. I dont know if I explained properly but when i turn the dbox2 on it doesnt boot up and I cant even get the menu screen up on the television screen. So I cant flash the box again. When I turn the box on now it says loading kernel and thats it nothing else happens. The problem is its my mates box and its the first time ive tried to flash the box. I sorted my arnet kryptview box out so surely the dbox isnt much harder to do. Ive read the beginners guide to flashing my dbox2 and just need to get my problem sorted out before I give the box back. Please help>>>>>>>
