The PSP Movies I'm converting with Total Video Converter all come to about 600 megs each.
However, the PSP Movies I download come out to between 200-400 megs each, with no change in video/audio quality. Some even look better. I attribute this to them *probably* being ripped from DVDs, and I encode mine from .avi's, but still, 200-400 compared to 600? I want some of that!
I've noticed that under the PSP file browser, the movies I download are AVC while the movies I encode with Total Video Converter are MPEG4.
How do I encode to get my movie files down to 200-400, like the ones I download?
I tried messing around with the settings in Total Video Converter to no avail. If I change anything, it looks horrible. I use this program because it takes roughly 40 minutes to convert a full movie, and that's pretty fast in my book.
I have no problem changing programs though if I can encode in AVC like the movies I download, even if it takes longer to encode.
have you tried the imtoo converter? or magic ipod "something" converter? im using this converter nowadays and it has no problem with quality... and it also cut the size into half..."mostly i think" base in my experience...
If You Use Avc Standard To Convert movies You will Get half Size with same quality as mpeg4.I thin k You Need To Use Psp Movie Creator.Give It a Search On Youtube Type in the search bar psp movie creator
the problem is the bit rate and the res size of the video
in the past iv use xilisoft but you have to pay for that so a better alternative is super video converter. the reason i suggest this is that you can change it to be a mp4avc and not normal mp4 but there is not much change in the quality.
there are always problems when you convert one file to another you always seem to loose the quality i know from converting good quality .flv file to .avi and to get them the same quality the avi file would be about 170+mb and the flv file are 90mb.
the res is a good one to change as it can cut the size of the video even if the bit rate is the same just change the res to 25% less than 480x272 and you should still have a good quality video.
