I finally got my spare xbox 360 flashed and had a few quick questions.
I also have an unflashed 360 w/ 20gb hard drive for playing on live.

1) So if I choose to swap the hard drive back and forth between the modded and unmodded systems to keep all the game saves downloads, etc. on the single hard drive can MS detect that some of the game saves were made with backup games and ban me.

2) How exactly does banning work? What I mean is if a modded system is signed into a silver account can it be banned or do you actually have to have a gold membership and be playing with others before they can detect you.

3) I guess this would depend on how the answer to the above question turns out. Game updates. How would these work now? I think how it works is that it auto detects any updates, downloads and applies them. However you would have to be logged in on Live right? I've read a few posts concerning this one but I was still a little unsure.

Thanks

1: You can swap the hard drive between the two systems and even use the same profile. They cannot detect from gamesaves that you used backups.

2: They ban you by checking the contents of the disk while you are online. I believe it runs the check on boot during the challenge response exchange. If you are signed in with a silver account you can still be banned there is no difference. Fear not your console will be banned not your live account. I have had two consoles banned.

3: You must be logged into live to get the auto updates and be booting the disk while signed in. I ran into problems with crackdown where I could not load my save because I did not have the auto update and could not sign in on my modded system because I had been banned and only had a backup of that title.

No problem. Just trying to help out, and trying to become something other than a NEWB on these forums. I know alot about 360 so it should not take long(hopefully).
