I just got my 360 a month ago. I have a regular xbox that I modded out with a 200gb hdd and a bunch of games and emulators and a crystal clear case. But in the process of modding I killed one of my xbox's and I was just wondering what is the risk involved with flashing a 360's DVD drive so it can play backups. Also are the new 360's less likely to get the red ring of death like microsoft says or is it still just as easy to get the red ring of death on the new ones because if it is I am not going to mod because I dont want to void the warrenty. I have a Pro console by the way

as for the new consoles, yes they are built to dispense more heat but i still say that 1 out of 3 will break.

also is it possible to remove the warrenty sticker with the blow dryer method and then stick it back on so that it looks like it did before you took it off?
