I have a big scratch in a disk. I am too lazy to resurface the scratch (the content is not of high interest to me). I just set the ripper to ignore all and deal with the skips with software. Well, fixVTS and VOBblanker do not do the job. The skips are too big. Any suggestions?

Obviously the best course of action would be to resurface.

I have had mild luck with isobuster. May give that a shot.

What kind of disc/data is it?

It is a pressed DVD. It is not worth the 5-10 minutes it would take to resurface to me. I will check out iso buster. This is more of a learn a new trick than back up the disk thing. I have not learned anything new in this arena in over a year. Had the disk have been of any interest I would have resufaced it. Pressed DVDs with mild scratches resurface easily. I am not so sure about burned disks. I am actually more interested in resurecting disks that can't be resurfaced. This disk because of the mild scratch would be a perfect senerio. Now that I think about it I should have tried Ripit4me. Well I will try that first.

It did not help even after I did a resurfaced. It didn't look that screwed up but I guess it was. I used the default filling up holes with 0s. I chucked the disk.
